Kateamead is a small kennel deep in the heart of South Devon. Our aim is to breed Dobermanns of quality, that have brains and most important a sound temperament. All our dogs live as part of the family in our house. We are very proud of the fact that all our dogs are exercised twice daily, every day no matter what the elements may throw at us !! We are also very proud of all our dogs achievements as they are all owner handled. As well as the Dobermanns we have owned a Miniature Pinscher for 7 years and now have a gorgeous new addition to the family. We look forward to her show ring debut later in the year. Let us now introduce ourselves. We are Alan and Lynne Edyveane and we have had animals in our lives as far back as we can both remember. Alan is from Cornwall and has spent all his life in agriculture. He attended Bicton Collage, achieved many passes in livestock, farm machinery and crops. Alan also spent 15 years as a retained Fireman, spending the last 10 years as leading fireman/driver. He is now working as supervisor/fitter for an Organic Vegetable company. Lynne is from Devon and had a love for animals at an early age, in fact her father bought her a Dartmoor pony at the age of 5 years. She continued this love for horses and after leaving school left home to work with them, training to become a riding instructor. Then a career move to indoors as a machine setter at a components firm. She now works from home. Our fist Dobermann was purchased in 1985 and so the love of the breed began and still continues today
